Achievement of Stage II Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation

North Coast Radiology Group has recently been awarded Stage II Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation in recognition that the organisation has met the national standards set by the Commonwealth Government’s Department of Health and Ageing.

The accreditation framework is based on national standards aimed at providing a range of guarantees to clients by accrediting the practice environment.

The practice has received this recognition from Quality in Practice Pty Ltd (QIP), which is part of Australia’s leading accreditation company managing programs for medical imaging, retirement villages, physiotherapy and general practice accreditation.

The three organisations of North Coast Radiology, Clarence Valley Imaging and Chatswood & Ryde Radiology which comprise the Group have all achieved this latest level of accreditation, recognising the quality and safety of their various branch operations.

Dr Lincoln Gillam, Managing Partner and Radiologist, said that achievement of this standard of accreditation demonstrates that the Group makes a significant investment in quality on a day-to-day basis, from the top down.

“We want to communicate to our clients that their well being is our priority. Accreditation assures patients we are committed to providing care which meets the prescribed national standards” Dr Gillam said.

“Although such an achievement is not required until July next year, we worked hard to ensure that the organisation was well placed to gain the recognition well ahead of time” Dr Gillam continued.
