Health Care Services in Casino Get a Boost
Locally owned and operated health care provider North Coast Radiology (NCR) are set to dramatically expand health services for Casino, Kyogle and surrounding communities. Re-locating from their Casino Canterbury St premises, the new NCR practice will open on March 5th 2012, at 133 - 145 Centre St Casino – next to ALDI.
The brand new facility will offer patients greater access to the latest medical imaging technology, equipment and health services. Primarily the new practice will boast improvements in ease of access, new imaging equipment and an increased service offering for patients. Casino, Kyogle and surrounding residents will be able to access the majority of their medical imaging needs locally, eliminating the need for travel to Lismore. Specifically, service enhancements include:
X-Rays – From diagnosing broken bones or high-quality Dental OPG xray images, the new facility will have the equipment to do it all. A Walk-in Service will also be available, meaning for general X-Rays it will not be necessary to make an appointment.
UltraSound – From pregnancy imaging support through to pain-relieving joint injections.
CT Scanner – The use of radiation minimising technology ensures this new CT scanner will enable the practitioners to perform a comprehensive range of detailed diagnostic imaging while maximising patient care.
The new rooms will be open 5 days a week; Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Examinations will finish at 4.30pm daily. There will be special facilities to support those who have a disability as well as dedicated ambulance access.
NCR is a Northern Rivers locally owned and operated business committed to supporting the needs of the local communities they serve. Casino’s upgrade and move comes shortly after a similar upgrade and move at Byron Bay – where CT was also added to the range of services available.
Furthermore, having recently become one of the first fully accredited imaging practices as applied by the Commonwealth Government’s Department of Health and Ageing, after 1 July 2012 when Medicare-rebate eligible patients visit NCR’s new Casino practice, or any of their other practices, they will continue to benefit from the Medicare rebates available.
North Coast Radiology has a policy to engage local businesses for supplies as much as possible. Thus NCR would like to thank local businesses such as including Sign-O-Rama, Col Groves Electrics, Clark Building & Frigid Air in the huge range of technical, construction and affiliated services provided as part of this significant upgrade.
North Coast Radiology is committed to being the provider of choice for both patients and the medical profession alike. Their commitment to leading edge technology and employment of experienced diagnostic teams continues to support the optimal health of the Northern Rivers communities.
