"What is the preparation for a Myelogram?"

No food for four hours before the test. It is necessary to observe you after the procedure, and you may be admitted to St Vincents Hospital over night. We have to make sure you're NOT taking several sorts of medications - especially major tranquilisers and tricyclic antidepressants. Also anticoagulant (blood thinning) drugs need to stopped prior to the procedure. Please tell us what medications you are taking when making your appointment.
